ABOUT GGCALLER
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press is an internationally renowned publisher of books, journals, and electronic media, located in Long Island, New York. This illustration was selected for the September 2023 front cover of Genome Research magazine.
In this illustration, roads represent pathways within the pangenome graph—a unified data structure that captures the rich diversity across multiple genome assemblies. The robots, symbolising the ggCaller algorithm, navigate these pathways to pinpoint genes or protein-coding sequences, represented as ribbons weaving their way along the roads. Each robot's light shines a spotlight on these identified sequences.
